The whole family was eagerly anticipating the arrival of this new family member
We had a special maternity session at a lovely private property in Indianapolis to beautifully capture this time of anticipation.
And just like that, little Tucker was here! It was a privilege to capture his newborn photos just as I had done for his big sister and big brother.
So much change in six months!
Tucker reached his six month milestone, and we had fun posing him in the same prop that was used in his newborn photos to capture how much growth happened in such short time!
And then, just a few months later, after 7 years of living in Indianapolis, God called this sweet family to a new ministry in South Carolina.
When Tucker’s first birthday was approaching, we worked out a plan for me to travel from Indianapolis, Indiana to Greer, South Carolina so that we could capture a special first birthday and Cookie Monster cake smash session to celebrate Tucker’s first year of life!
We asked for recommendations for an excellent baker and we were directed to That Sweets Chick, LLC. We were blown away by her talent! We communicated details of what we wanted and she delivered above and beyond what we were hoping for! Every first birthday session includes photos in one or two different outfits. It is fun to have a variety of photos to celebrate this very special milestone. The cake smash photos are so fun and definitely a highlight, but we don’t want all of the photos to just be smashing cake!
After we finished photos in his other outfits, we got right down to business!
Tucker wasn’t sure what to think of everything . . .
He gave us a few smiles . . .
. . . but then he decided he didn’t want to be smashing Cookie Monster anymore.
We knew he wasn’t hurt or uncomfortable, and that he was just being fussy. We knew it would be a funny story to tell him someday about the day we tried to do his Cookie Monster cake smash and he just wasn’t having it, so we found ourselves just laughing and getting some funny photos of him crying over the cookie monster cake before we cleaned him up.
Overall, we got some sweet photos of Tucker
These photos will be precious heirlooms for he and his parents to always treasure.
