When we found out that our beautiful niece was expecting, I knew I wanted to do something extra special for her maternity session. Because she lives in Kentucky, about 20 miles from Natural Bridge State Park, we decided to meet there.
Since the park is about 250 miles from my home, It made for a fun road trip to have a beautiful backdrop for her session.
It also allowed some special time with her momma, my sister-in-law.
We met at the skylift and rode it up to get to spots with a pretty view.
Jace rode ahead of us and Jan and I were in the seat behind her.
I was sure to take my pop up changing tent, and once we made it to the top of Natural Bridge, we set it up so she could change into the boho gown from my maternity closet.
We started with shots that used the beautiful rock of Natural Bridge to surround and compliment this beautiful momma.
Jace was brave enough to lie down on the hard, uneven rock, and we got a gorgeous overhead shot of her!
Next, we shifted our position so that the top of the bridge was a back drop with the trees on either side framing her. The sun was in a place that made her truly look like an angel!

We took a small hike down to the bottom of the bridge and found a perfect spot with a completely different look. Up went the pop up tent again, and Jace changed into the sage, lacey gown from my maternity closet.
I didn’t think it was possible for Jace to look as beautiful in anything other than the cream boho gown, but when I saw her in this sage green dress, I couldn’t get over how stunning she looked! This dress also beautifully complimented her pretty red hair!
Maternity sessions are always a time to celebrate the anticipation of meeting your baby. Once your baby arrives earthside, you will never get moments like these back. This sweet momma will always have these heirloom photos to reflect on the love she had for her baby girl before she ever even met her, and her daughter will always have this treasure of how special she was to her momma before she was born.
