When I met Aaron and Ashley, it became quickly evident that they were passionate about baseball.
In our pre-session communication, I learned they had a small baseball bat etched with their baby’s name.
I got to work right away creating a couple different set ups that would highlight this special little symbol of the unique connection they shared as a family.
I found a vendor, No. 2 Willow Lane, that had a tiny sweet baseball outfit specifically for newborn photographers. (Check out their website - they have a lot of adorable newborn baby items! I have many other items from their shop in my studio!) We collected some baseballs, a red wagon, some peanuts and cracker jacks and created the sweetest set up for little Owen!
Fast forward a couple of years and baby number 2 was on the way in the Watson family!
Baby brother Everett arrived
and when he came to my Indianapolis studio, he had his very own personalized baseball bat.
As we discussed details to prepare for Everett’s newborn session at my Indianapolis studio, Aaron and Ashley thought it would be fun to recreate the baseball set ups we had done for big brother Owen.
So we pulled the little red wagon back out for one of the set ups, and the red wire basket for the other.
It was so fun to recreate the photos so that the brothers would have matching newborn photos!
Fast forward another couple of years and Ashley discovered she was expecting again!
Would they add another boy to this team of baseball lovers?
Yes! Sure enough, another boy was coming to join the family and Aaron and Ashley, Owen and Everett were so excited for their baby on the way!
And I bet you’ll never guess what we planned for this little brother’s newborn session!
Out came the little red wagon and wire basket and we once again recreated this special photo for little brother Isaac!
Of course, each of the boys had other set ups and photos taken with different colors and themes that were unique and special for each baby, but as they grow and change, they will always have these special photos that represent the bond they share together as a family because of their love of baseball!
